United Capital Funding Given "Business Of The Year Award"

ST. PETERSBURG, FL – The St. Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce has named United Capital Funding Corp. of St. Petersburg Outstanding Small Business of the Year in the category of businesses with fewer than 25 employees.

 

United Capital Funding is a specialized financial institution that helps small businesses with working capital funding when banks and other institutions fall short with traditional financing means.

 

The award is based on seven criteria set by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and includes: the company’s history as an established business; impact on the job market; increased sales and or unit-volume-to-revenues over a three-to-five year period; innovativeness of product and services; response to adversity; and response to community-oriented projects.

The award ceremony, based on voting by a panel of 25 judges, was held in May at the Vinoy Hotel.
